11 died & 21 injured in Georgia hotel fire

In Georgia, at least 11 people died and 21 were injured today after a fire ripped through a hotel in Black Sea resort city of Batumi. Regional Health Minister Zaal Mikeladze said, the victims all died from inhaling fumes at the 22-storey Leogrand Hotel and casino. <br/><br/>The cause of the blaze, which took hours to extinguish, is not clear. More than 100 people were evacuated from the hotel by emergency services. Among those being treated are three Turks and an Israeli. Sixteen fire engines and 100 firefighters were sent. The fire has now been extinguished.
