In Assam Chief Judicial Magistrate court of Kamrup today convicted 11 persons including the main culprit Amarjyoti Kalita in the G S Road molestation case of 9th July this year. The court sentenced all of them two years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of two thousand rupees each.

The court acquitted four persons including a former TV journalist .It may be recalled that, a group of miscreants molestated a woman at busy G S Road area of Guwahati city. Assam government formed a Special Investigative Team ,SIT,to look into the matter. The SIT arrested 16 persons including a minor for their alleged involvement in the molestation case.
