In Afghanistan, at least eleven civilians have been killed in bomb attacks in Muqur district of Badghis province. While ten people were killed when a roadside bomb hit a car, another civilian lost his life in a separate bomb blast. Meanwhile, the US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates has warned that hard fighting is still ahead in Afghanistan despite signs of progress in the NATO-led war against Taliban. He was talking to newsmen aboard his plane before landing in the Afghan capital, Kabul today.
