10th World Hindi Conference concludes

The Tenth World Hindi Conference concluded in Bhopal Saturday evening.<br/><br/>Addressing the concluding session, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Hindi is not only Rajbhasha (official language) but it is also language of communication in the country. <br/><br/>He said that people in all the areas of the country speak and understand Hindi.<br/><br/>Mr. Singh said that Hindi should also be made one of the official languages of United Nations as it is one of the most widely spoken language in the world.<br/><br/>The Home Minister said that Hindi is most scientific language of the world. AIR correspondent reports, a resolution was unanimously passed in the conference to organize the 11th World Hindi Conference in Mauritius in 2018. The recommendations of different parallel sessions of the conference will be sent to a review committee which will forward them to different ministries of the government.<br/><br/>These recommendations include setting up of a language Lokpal to stop discrimination on linguistic basis, making Hindi typing in school curriculum compulsory and establishment of children literature academy.<br/><br/>Home minister Rajnath Singh felicitated 38 scholars with Hindi Samman on this occasion.<br/><br/>Union minister Dr. Harshwardhan, Governor of West Bengal Kesrinath Tripathi, Governor of Goa Mridula Sinha, Chief Ministers of Haryana and Chattisgarh attended the closing ceremony.
