The 10th Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Rally, considered one of the toughest motorsports events of the country, was flagged off from New Delhi today. Around 280 drivers participating in the rally will cover a distance of over 3500 kilometers. It will take them on an adventurous six-day journey through tough terrains of Thar desert and the rocky and uncertain slopes of Aravalli in Rajasthan and the slippery sands of the Rann of Kutch along the Gujarat coastline. As many as 143 vehicles, including 4-wheel drive SUVs, Gypsys, two-wheelers and trucks will be seen in action in the rally.
