10th All India Police Shooting Championship begins Today in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh the 10th All India Police Shooting Championship began today at Eklavya Shooting range in Bhopal. State chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the event.The championship is being organized under 53rd All India Police Duty Meet. A total of 28 teams from states and paramilitary forces are taking part in the event.The BSF contingent comprising 39 shooters is the biggest contingent taking part in the event while smallest contingent is from Uttarakhand that consisted of six shooters.The shooters will vie for 20 gold, 16 silver and as many bronze medals. Five events will be held in long range big bore rifle, six events in revolver and pistol category and three events will be held in carbine and machinegun category.The championship will conclude on the 20th of this month.
