A total of 106 Russian athletes from 7 sports had been excluded from the national team for the Rio Olympic Games over the doping scandal. This includes the entire track and field team. Russia had initially planned to send 387 athletes to the Rio Games.Meanwhile, about 70 Russian athletes arrived at an airport in Rio de Janeiro. The final lineup of the Russian team remains undecided even though the Games will begin next week.A maximum number of 270 Russian athletes will be able to compete in Rio.The 31st Summer Olympic Games will be held from August 5 to 21.
