In Manipur, 103 militants from twelve insurgent outfits have laid down arms this afternoon before the state Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh at the Headquarters of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles(South) at Mantripukhri in Imphal. The militants handed over many arms and ammunitions including fifty pistols and nine AK-Rifles. The surrendered militants are 22 from the United National Liberation Front, 20 from the People’s United Liberation Front, nine from the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup, 14 from the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, eight from the Kuki National Liberation Front, nine from the People’s Liberation Army, 10 from the Kangleipak Communist Party, four from the UNPC and two each from the NSCN(IM) and Kuki Revolutionary Front and one each from NSCN(K), United People’s Party of Kangleipak and KRPA.
