Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation, General (Retd) V. K. Singh graced the inaugural session of the meeting of Agricultural Chief Scientists (MACS) starting at Hotel Taj. On this occasion, General Rtd VK Singh said that this meeting is very important since the Indian government has started many programs and schemes related to agriculture in the country and we can exchange our ideas with the rest of the world.<br />''<br />''The "Millets And OtHer Ancient GRains International ReSearcH Initiative (MAHARISHI)' is proposed for deliberations today in the meeting.<br />''Talking to AIR news Mr. Singh said that India has the capacity to lead the world in the field of millet since we are growing the superfoods&nbsp;for centuries.<br />''<br />''The three-day meeting is being organised by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare.
