Over 1,000 black birds fell from the sky and were found dead in an Arkansas town, prompting the wildlife authorities to launch a probe to determine what caused their death. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said, the dead birds were found over a 2-kilometer area in Beebe on Friday night. It has been speculated that the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail. . Another reason cited for the death of birds was the New Year’s Eve revelers shooting off fireworks in the area which could have startled the birds from their roost and caused them to die from stress.
