Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi has said that her Ministry's recently launched 100 Women Initiative aims at recognizing and acknowledging women who are making a difference in their communities across the country. <br/><br/>In an interview with AIR, Ms Gandhi said, women prominent in media and wife of rich people keep getting awards but the 100 women initiative is people's award where the whole India will honour women who have made a difference. <br/><br/>Ms Gandhi said, anybody who wants to nominate a woman can go through Facebook and post about her. She said, after three months all votes will be collected and 100 women will be chosen by an eminent jury and will be honored by the Ministry.<br/><br/>Speaking about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, Mrs Gandhi said, the good results of the initiative are coming to the front. She said, government has established the first one stop crisis centre in Raipur and will establish 660 such centres all over the country. She said, all the initiatives are different ways of celebrating women and protecting them.
