A Syrian woman Wasila Ali Qaddour, known as Um Hassan, has celebrated her 110th birthday in her hometown village in northwestern governorate of Idleb. The official SANA news agency today said Wasila is still blessed with good health and does her housework. The people of her town call her "the memory of the village" or the oldest grandmother with 100 grandsons.

They consider her a historical reference for the writers and historians of the village. The long-lived lady has a good memory, remembering old popular lyrics and folk songs. Vegetables are her basic food. She doesn't eat meat except at the religious and social events.
