$ 100 bn foreign investment is knocking at India’s doors: PM

The Prime Minister today said 100 billion dollars foreign investments is knocking at the doors of India. Addressing the fourth Global Investor Summit organized by Madhya Pradesh government in Indore, Mr Narendra Modi said, now it is up to the states to lap up as much as they can.

Asking global business leaders not to consider India just a market, Mr Modi said that huge opportunities exits in India. Describing Make in India initiative a win-win situation for investors, the Prime Minister said that the capital investment in the country will benefit them.

The Prime Minister maintained that development of states is essential for India to progress. Mr Modi said, Centre and States are not rivals or enemies and both should work together in this regard.

Lauding the achievements of Madhya Pradesh in different sectors, Prime Minister said, the state has been growing rapidly in the last few years.

Terming employment generation a top most priority in development agenda, he said, public-private partnership will be encouraged. The Prime Minister also emphasised on the need to give equal importance to agriculture, industry and services.
