In Chhattisgarh, at least 10 policemen were killed and three injured in a powerful land mine explosion by the Naxalites in the Dantewada district last night. The deceased includes 7 SPOs and 3 constables. The injured have been admitted to Jagdalpur hospital. Sources said, the Jawans were returning from a search operation when the Maoists triggered the blast near Gatum under Katekalyan police station area. The impact of the blast was so massive that the vehicle in which the jawans were travelling was totally destroyed killing nine jawans on the spot. Our correspondent reports that one more jawan succumbed to injuries on his way to the hospital.
