10 naxals killed in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, 10 naxals were killed in an operation in which 2000 personnel of CRPF, Special Task Force and police took part in West Singhbhum district. Security forces also smashed 8 naxal training camps. <br/><br/>The naxals however managed to flee along with the dead bodies of their men. One police official Himmat Singh of Cobra battalion, who was injured in the 28 hour long encounter succumbed to the injury in a private hospital in Ranchi. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, a naxal sub zonal commander was killed in encounter with the police in the Rakamshera village under Gumla district. On the other hand, naxals have given two day bandh call in Jharkhand, Bihar and Chattisgarh starting from today, which has affected normal life in the state. Many trains have been cancelled or diverted and work has been affected in coal loading centers at Ramgarh.
