In Uttar Pradesh, A unique initiative by Governor Anandiben Patel brought together around 10 lakh students to read literature of Gandhi to create a world record in Lucknow.<br />'' <br />''To set a new world record more than 10 lakh students from schools and colleges of Lucknow today simultaneously read books for 45 minutes as part of 'Padhe Lucknow, Badhe Lucknow' campaign initiated by Governor Anandiben Patel.<br />'' <br />''Coordinated by Lucknow University, the event included students from Class 6 onwards to inculcate reading habits in them. They read books, either written on Mahatma Gandhi or on Mahatma Gandhi in their classrooms from 11 a.m. to 11.45 am.<br />'' <br />''More than 2,500 educational institutes in Lucknow affiliated with different universities along with all the schools under the Basic Education, Secondary Education, Madrasa and Ashram boards and Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan were part of the campaign.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">On the other hand, Former Union Minister Manoj Singha inaugurated the Gandhi Jayanti Saptah, today in Barabanki district.  </span><br />
