Minister of state for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha today said his ministry will give employment opportunities to ten lakh people in the next ten years. He said, the aviation sector need more skilled persons. Speaking exclusively to AIR, Mr Sinha said, the civil aviation sector is providing jobs directly to two lakh people at present and skilled persons are needed to create ten lakh jobs in future. Mr Sinha said, the MoU signed today between Ministry of Skill Development and Civil Aviation is a historic one for the civil aviation sector. <br/><br/>Minister of skill development and entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Mr. Sinha were present on the occasion of signing of the MoU. Taking to AIR, Mr Rudy said, civil aviation sector is growing at 10 to 15 per cent and it need lakhs of skilled people. He said, this sector has a very good scope for employment. Both ministers also inaugurated workshop on building awareness on aligning skill development in the civil aviation sector.
