In China, 10 people were killed in two separate accidents at neighbouring gold mines in Henan Province. State-run Xinhua news agency said that in the first accident occured at Qinling gold mine in Lingbao City, 12 workers and six management staff were trapped. Emergency response office said that seven dead bodies were recovered from the pit and one worker is missing. Of the 10 people who were found alive and sent to hospital, one failed to respond to emergency treatment and the other nine were recuperating, said the Emergency response office. In a similar accident in a neighbouring gold pit, Rescuers recovered two bodies and rescued four workers.
