In Afghanistan, 10 people were killed and seven others have been injured in a suicide attack in the Asmar district of Kunar today. Interior ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary said a suicide attacker detonated his explosives just as a village Shura or a meeting of local elders, came to an end. He said the dead included a key local pro-government elder.
