10 killed in 3 bomb blasts in Nigeria

In Nigeria, at least 10 people were killed and nine injured when three bomb blasts ripped through a market inside a military barracks in northern part, hours after President Goodluck Jonathan assumed office. The blasts hit an eating, drinking and relaxation point for military men called mammy market at Shadawanka Barracks last night. Violence, frequent shootings and bomb attacks are among the challenges facing Jonathan, a southerner who was sworn in for a full four-year term after defeating his major opponent, General Muhammadu Buhari from the north.
