10 injured in fresh incidents of violence in Hyderabad

In Andhra Pradesh, 10 persons including two policemen were injured on Tuesday as fresh incidents of violence broke outside the old city of Hyderabad even as the situation was under control in the curfew-imposed areas. According to city police, some miscreants resorted to stone pelting when a religious procession was passing through one of the areas where curfew was not imposed, damaging about 10 houses 40 vehicles. The situation was tense but under control, they said. City Police Commissioner A K Khan told reporters that the situation was fully under control in the old city with no fresh incidents reported since last night. However, he said Curfew would be continued as a precautionary measure.<br/><br/>Propitiatory orders have also been imposed through out Hyderabad for one week. Over 2000 para-military personnel including of the Rapid Action Force, CISF and CRPF were pressed into service to contain trouble in and around the old city of Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the Osmania University has postponed the MBA and Degree examinations while the state Government has decided to conduct re-examination to the 10th class students who were affected due to curfew in the old city. Fresh dates will be announced later.
