<span style="color: #222222;">In Hyderabad, a mammoth Ganesh Immersion procession is underway amid massive security arrangements. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The 10-day long Ganesh festivities came to an end today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Devotees bid farewell to Lord Ganesh and immersed the idols in about 50 lakes and ponds in and around Hyderabad and across Telangana. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has installed 330 cranes of various capacities at over 30 lakes and 25 special ponds created for immersion. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The 40 feet high Pancha Mukha Rudra Maha Ganesh idol has been taken in Shobha Yatra to Hussain Sagar and immersed at the 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi festival</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Thousands of devotees are participating in the annual procession while chanting slogans -from Balapur to Hussain Sagar, about 22 kilometers. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Intermittent rains could not dampen the spirit of devotees. Hundreds of trucks carrying Ganesh idols in various hues and sizes are heading towards Hussain Sagar. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, the organisers of the procession, set up special platforms at Charminar and Moazzam Jahi Market to welcome idols.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy is monitoring immersion processions in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana from the state command and control centre. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said monitoring is being done from police station level to city, district and the state level through CCTV cameras linked to control rooms. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Police were keeping a close watch on the procession from the command and control centre linked with CCTV cameras installed along the procession route.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra, and Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwath inspected the immersion processions at various places.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The mammoth procession has brought the entire city to a halt. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Police have imposed traffic restrictions till tomorrow morning. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Liquor shops and bars will remain closed in the limits of all three police commissionerates.</span><br />
