<span style="color: #222222;">The 10-day Ganesh festival culminates today with the immersion of Lord Ganesha idols taking place in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and other parts of the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the immersion ceremony is taking place with restrictions on crowd gathering and processions. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state government has allowed only 10 fully vaccinated members from public pandals to be part of the group who would be carrying idols to the immersion spots. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, amid chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar ya, devotees of lord Ganesha are bidding adieu to their favourite God with the conclusion of 10-day festival. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The immersion ceremony is low key in nature and people were dissuaded from visiting the immersion spots like Girgaum Chowpatty, Juhu Chowpatty among others. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Adequate deployment of police force is being done across the city and at the immersion spots to prevent any untoward incident. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Members of the public pandals have been encouraged to adhere to the COVID appropriate behavior. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Processions during immersion ceremony use to be the hallmark in the past. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, with no beating of drums and other musical instruments, the immersion of various prominent Ganesha idols like the Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbaicha Raja and others has taken place early this year, thereby reducing the stress on police personnel who are on the bandobast duty. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The BMC and civic bodies in the state on their part have set up artificial ponds to facilitate devotees to immerse their household Ganesha idols.</span><br />
