Maharashtra began its ten day long Ganesh festival with religious fervour and gaiety. Amidst festive spirit as many as 2000 public pandalas and many households today performed the traditional pranratistapna puja of their Ganesh idols.<br/><br/>Mumbai is known for its majestic Ganeshostav celebrations. Ganesh mandals like Lalbaugcha Raja, GSB Seva Mandal in Kings Circle, Wadala GSB Mandal and Ganesh Galli Ganpati are some of the other famous venues in Mumbai; people queue up in huge numbers for worship. <br/><br/>Thousands of devotees including celebrities like Sachine Tendulkar today visited Famous Lalbaghcha Raja Ganapati to seek blessing of beloved deity Ganesh on the very first day of the Ganesh featival.
