The 10-day Dushera festival has began in Mysore . Around 1000 people took part in the cycle rally. Another unique feature of the festival is the exhibition of products that are generic to Mysore, such as Nanjungud banana, Jasmine, brinjal, Silk and Mysore pak sweet. A farmers’ conference is also being organised today. The progressive farmers are taking part in the conference to disseminate the knowledge acquired by them to other farmers. In the evening cultural programmes are organised as part of the Dushera festival.
