In Afghanistan, at least one person was killed and several others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself in eastern province of Nangarhar today morning. Officials say the bomber targeted a foreign forces convoy passing through the area. One military vehicle and several nearby shops were destroyed in the attack. Taliban-led militancy is growing in Afghanistan with violence levels at its highest since 2001.
