In Jammu and Kashmir, one person was killed and eight others seriously injured when some explosive material exploded in the premises of Police Station Bani in Kathua district of Jammu division today.The mishap occurred when the labourers engaged by Public Works Department (PWD) were taking out the blasting material being used by PWD for blasting purposes from the custody of police station, which exploded due to the mis-handling resulting in the instant death of PWD Supervisor and injures to eight labourers. The blast was so powerful that four vehicles of CRPF and J&K Police parked outside the police station were damaged while window panes of various houses also were broken due to the impact of the blast. The police station also suffered extensive damage due to the blast. Senior police officers have rushed to the spot.
