In Meghalaya, one passenger was killed on the spot and 16 were injured in a road accident on Tuesday. The mishap occured when the bus carrying the victims and coming from Jirang plunged into a gorge at Riat-Mawiong Nongkhlaw . The injured were first shifted to a hospital in Nongkhlaw. Two seriously injured passengers were later shifted to Shillong Civil hospital.
